Sophia is a dedicated and hard working student. She puts 100% effort into anything she undertakes. Showing all of the traits of a WARRIOR and upholding the six traits of character counts, Sophia regularly helps others and volunteers to do anything she can to contribute to her community. If there is a task that needs to be done, no matter how small, Sophia is the first one to offer her assistance. Committed to her academics, Sophia is punctual about her work and is an effective communicator with her peers. Her dedication to her own success is admirable and something to be celebrated.
In addition to her academic successes, Sophia is also an active participant in many extracurriculars at Westfield. She spends her lunchtime on Mondays working as a part of the Westfield Creative Writing club, extending her creativity and putting in the extra work to improve as a writer. Sophia has also acted in the Westfield fall play and spring musical since her 6th grade year as well. Whether she is playing the lead role or is a member of the ensemble, Sophia has a positive and supportive attitude. She shows responsibility in learning her lines and demonstrates leadership as she guides her castmates in learning the ins and outs of theater.
As a member of the Westfield Cadet, Concert, and Jazz Bands, Sophia has shown tremendous growth. She has consistently gone out of her way to work on her own to improve her individual skill level and push herself to grow as a musician and student. She is in the band room most days during her study hall practicing on the concert music, as well as additional skills and exercises. As a member of the Westfield Student Council, Sophia displays outstanding dedication and leadership. Her commitment to representing her peers and contributing positively to our school community has made a meaningful impact. She works hard, shows enthusiasm, and collaboratively works well with others.
Overall, Sophia Harting has shined in her time at Westfield, offering so much to our community and providing a model example of what it means to be a Westfield Warrior.
