COVID VACCINES FOR AGES 12-15

We received exciting news this week that students ages 12-15 will soon be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine! Yesterday, Dr. Bartelt shared a letter to all parents with detailed information on a vaccine opportunity being offered to our local school community. The available time slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis, so if you are interested please review the vaccine clinic information and sign up your child as soon as possible.

HELP FOR STUDENT CHROMEBOOK TROUBLE and PARENT TECHNOLOGY HELP

Please fill out this Technology Support Request if a student is having trouble with their Chromebook and/or charger. Also, if a Parent/Guardian needs technology assistance with PowerSchool or PushCoin. A District 13 technician will respond and coordinate a Chromebook loaner, etc.

Please call the Westfield Office at 630-529-6211 (24-hour voicemail) or email Laurie Spejcher [email protected] or Lynne McGinn [email protected] to report your student absent from any (even remote) class for any reason: a Doctor appointment, going out of town, an illness, WiFi/Chromebook issues, etc. We appreciate students reporting their own absence, but the office must be contacted by the parent/guardian for a student to be excused from that absence. Thank you!

GET THE POWERSCHOOL PARENT APP

Similar to the PowerSchool Parent Web Portal, parents can download the PowerSchool Mobile App from the App store on your iOS device or the Play Store on your Android device. Simply search for “PowerSchool” to find and install the mobile app on your smartphone or tablet.



  • After downloading the mobile app to your device, connect the Mobile App to the correct PowerSchool server for Bloomingdale School District 13, by entering our unique four-character code: G M K T
  • You can also search for Bloomingdale SD13 by district or school name.
  • The PowerSchool Mobile App will display your child(ren)’s schedule and assignments.
  • PowerSchool Mobile app users can also enable Push Notifications to receive alerts when attendance is recorded or a final grade changes. To setup notifications within the app: Tap Account, then tap Notifications to configure the notifications you want to receive. Use the slider icons to turn the notifications on or off.
  • Note: Parents must have a PowerSchool Parent Web Portal account created and students linked to their account before using the PowerSchool Mobile App. Click here for instructions on how to create a parent Portal account.

for the 2021-2022 School Year:
  • If you are unsure if you are a new or returning student, or if you do not know which form to complete, please contact the main office of your child's school BEFORE starting an online form.  

  • This New Student Enrollment form for 2021-2022 must be completed, if your child has never attended an SD13 school and will be 5 years old, on or before September 1, 2021, and therefore is eligible to attend Kindergarten in the 2021-2022 school year.  

  • Please use this form only if your student did not or will not attend a school within Bloomingdale School District 13, in any grade level, Preschool - 8th grade, during the 2020-2021 school year.

Located at 149 Fairfield Way in Bloomingdale, Westfield Middle School opened in 1975 receiving its moniker from the names of two bordering subdivisions, Westlake and Fairfield. Westfield is attended by 465 students in grades 6, 7 and 8.  Westfield's staff includes Stefan Larsson, principal, and Nicole Gabany, assistant principal and approximately 65 teachers, paraprofessionals and support staff.
