Instructional and Inclusion Support Teacher
DuJardin Elementary School
My name is Mrs. Shannon Dyer. I am the Inclusion and Instructional Support Teacher at DuJardin Elementary School in District 13. I started my career teaching Self-Contained Autism in 2005, and have been in a variety of educational settings including public, private and therapeutic day schools. I have a B.A. in Elementary Education with a focus in English from Eastern Illinois University. I also have a Learning Behavioral Specialist certification from Roosevelt University.
I love working in the area of Special Education! Getting to spend my day inside and outside of the general education classrooms and being able to support students and teachers is such an amazing and rewarding experience. I truly enjoy what I do each and every day. Working with your children and watching them grow is so amazing! I feel lucky that I get to do what I love!
I am married and have 3 children. My daughter Kailey is 10, my son Corey is 9, and Connor is 7. They keep me very busy along with our two dogs Bentley, and Reggie, and I love each and every moment of it!
