Third Grade Teacher
A little more about me...
I attended Purdue University for my undergrad (Go Boilers!) and participated in a number of education programs while I was there. This is where my love for teaching was confirmed. After graduation in 2002, I was hired in Yorkville school district 115. While there, I taught second grade for 2 years and third grade with the gifted cluster for 9 years. During that time frame, I also completed a graduate program at Benedictine University and received my Master’s degree in reading. While I thoroughly enjoyed my experience in Yorkville and learned so much about teaching, I decided that the hour long commute was just too much for me. So, in 2013, I was given the opportunity to work here at DuJardin, and I am so grateful to be a part of this learning community which is only 20 minutes from home!
Two other accomplishments that I am very proud of are my daughters. My husband and I have a quiet 7 year old and a very active 5 year old who keep us on our toes!
