Year Long Theme

         A great deal of different things happen while in first grade and so our year long theme will be GROWING AND CHANGING. 
          As the year moves along, first graders will be losing teeth, growing out of their shoes, pants and shirts.  Children will also change in the many things that they can do.  Just watch as their reading/writing and math skills improve.
          Children will also learn about how other things grow and change in their science and social studies units as the year unfolds.  We will keep you informed along the way.
         Most importantly, children will grow many lines in their brains while in first grade.
