Since the student's education is a partnership between
school and home, we encourage parent involvement. Participation in Erickson's
Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is one way to get involved. The PTO
provides many hours of volunteer work in libraries, classrooms, and at
activities. They also raise funds to help provide assemblies, hot lunches,
video equipment, etc. For more information, call the school office.
| When is the next PTO Meeting? |
| Tuesday,
May 6, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. in the Band Room at Erickson
Elementary School. |
| All Erickson Parents are invited to attend! The meetings usually run
about 30 to 45 minutes. We will be voting for new executive
board members and any current business. You may review
the minutes from previous meetings. |

| How does the Erickson Elementary PTO make a difference? |
- Fund
the Teachers Wish List after approval by the
PTO.

Organizes numerous activities & services throughout
the year, such as Bake Sales, Holiday Gift Corner,
Hot Lunches, School Store, School Supplies, Telephone
Directory, 5th Grade Outing, Bingo Night, Book Fairs,
Market Day.
- Supplies
each family with note pad to communicate with
the school.
- Funds
School Assemblies.
- Funds
& Coordinates an Appreciation Luncheon for the
Teachers and Staff in May.
- Funds
& Coordinates a Thanksgiving Feast in November.
- Funds
& Awards a $750 Scholarship each year to a H.S.
Senior who graduated from Erickson.
- Funds
and coordinates Field Days in May.

We can all make a difference
in our children's education! The PTO organizes many activities,
fundraisers and services throughout the year. We are in need
of VOLUNTEERS like you!
We are in need of a new President and Secretary
on the Executive Board. These positions are 2 year terms and
will run from August 2008 through June 2010.
