Emergency Closings
Should it be necessary to close school without advance notice due to an emergency or storm, the following radio/TV stations are notified as early as possible.

Parents, principals, teachers, and staff are notified by an automated telephone message relay system. District office staff and custodians are at work if possible.

Emergency Procedures
Emergency drills are held at regular intervals during the school year. In the event of an actual fire or tornado that causes the school to close before normal dismissal time, students will be released only to a parent or guardian. At regular dismissal time, students will be released according to normal school procedure. During a tornado warning, students will be kept in the school building until the administration feels it is safe to dismiss them.
