Vision Statement
District 13 believes that technology provides many useful tools for staff, students and the community which support its vision of providing challenging, standards-based, sequential curriculum that meets the needs of all learners over time, in a nurturing environment. Telecommunications tools encourage students to become global learners, and facilitate the educational partnership between District 13 staff and the community. Instructional technologies provide a variety of tools that support the curriculum and assist in the assessment of students' individual learning styles and needs. Information technologies allow students to access, evaluate and use a wide variety of resources for problem solving and making informed decisions for real world application. Recognizing that today's technologies may not adequately meet the needs of tomorrow's school population, District 13 will continue to evaluate and upgrade, within its means, current and emerging technology tools and infrastructure that support the learning environment.
