Creating a Page Border in a Microsoft Publisher Document
  1. Click on the Text icon (a blue A) on the toolbar along the left side of the screen. Drag the + pointer to your document to draw a Text frame that’s as large as the margin guides of your document.
  2. With the text box highlighted, go to the Format menu and choose Line / Border Style, then More Styles. This will open the Border Style window.
  3. In the Line Style tab, you can change the thickness and color of the border. Click on the Apply button to see how the changes look on the document.
  4. To create a border from an image, choose the BorderArt tab. Click on the name of the Available Borders to view that border in the Preview window. You can change the width and color of the border by adjusting the Border size: and Color: settings.
  5. To create a custom border from an image, click on the Create Custom button. Check the box in front of Use Clip Gallery to choose the picture if you want to create your border from one of Microsoft’s ClipArt images. This will open the Insert BorderArt window, from where you can choose a ClipArt image. If you want to create the border from your own image file, uncheck the Use Clip Gallery to choose the picture box. Click on the Choose Picture button, and choose the image file you want to use. In the Name Custom Border window, type in a name for your border, then click OK to preview your custom border.
  6. Click OK to apply the border to your document.
