President Tamara Peterson called the special meeting of the Board of Education of Bloomingdale Elementary District 13 to order on Monday, October 29, 2007 in the district office at 7:15 p.m.

Present: Mrs. Patricia Bach, Mrs. Diane Birkley, Dr. Donald Litchfield, Mr. Terence McKeown, Mrs. Linda Wojcicki, Ms. Tamara Peterson

Absent: None

Others Present: Dr. Kim Perkins

The Board discussed and planned questions for Board candidates for the position vacated by Mary Ellen Johnson.

Closed Session
A motion was made by Mrs. Bach and seconded by Mr. McKeown to enter into closed session at 7:29 p.m. for the selection of a person to fill a public office, including a vacancy in a public office, when the District is given power to appoint under law or ordinance, or the discipline, performance or removal of the occupant of a public office, when the District is given power to remove the occupant under law or ordinance. 5ILCS 120/2(c)(3). Voice Vote: all ayes

A motion was made by Mrs. Bach and seconded by Dr. Litchfield to return to regular session at 8:38 p.m. Voice Vote: all ayes

Appointment of Individual to Fill Unexpired Term of a Board Member
A motion was made by Mrs. Birkley and seconded by Mrs. Bach to name Fina Klco to the Board vacancy to fill the term of Mary Ellen Johnson which expires in April 2009. Voice Vote: all ayes

Adjournment
A motion was made by Mr. McKeown and seconded by Mrs. Bach to adjourn the meeting at 8:53 p.m. Voice Vote: all ayes
