President Tamara Peterson called the special meeting of the Board of Education of Bloomingdale Elementary District 13 to order on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in the district office at 7:30 p.m.

Absent: Mrs. Fina Klco

Closed Session (Session 1)
A motion was made by Mrs. Wojcicki and seconded by Mrs. Diane Birkley to enter into closed session at 7:31 p.m. for the purpose of discussing evidence or testimony presented in open hearing, or in closed hearing where authorized by law, to a quasi-adjudicative body, as defined in this Act, provided that the body prepares and makes available for public inspection a written decision with its determinative reasoning. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(4) Voice Vote: all ayes

The Board returned to regular session at 7:55 p.m.

Determination of Student Residency
A motion was made by Mrs. Wojcicki and seconded by Mrs. Birkley to find that Student 2010-R1 is not a District 13 resident, and that $6,053.25 is owed for tuition for the time he was improperly enrolled by a person or persons.

Motion Carried: 6 – 0

Closed Session (Session 2)
A motion was made by Mr. Moreth and seconded by Mrs. Wojcicki to enter into closed session at 7:59 p.m. for the purpose of discussing the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), as amended by P.A. 93-0057. Voice Vote: all ayes

Mrs. Ogden left the meeting.

The Board returned to regular session at 8:54 p.m.

A motion was made by Mrs. Klco and seconded by Mr. Moreth to adjourn the meeting. Voice Vote: all ayes
