Welcome to the New School Year!

Communications Class is designed to allow sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students to increase their efficiency using various computer software programs. Students will be working individually to create projects using digital media.  Students will be using different formats for different types of products.  They will be using different programs depending on the purpose of the information and types of graphics to would be used.  Each grade level uses some, but not all of the programs.  The software to be used includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Publisher, Word, Excel, Power Point (7th grade), and Photo Story for Windows (6th grade), plus in eighth grade an independent multi-media presentation is designed using Windows Movie Make, Microsoft Power Point, or Photo Story for Windows. 
Extra Times To Do Work
Mr. Taylor's help will be provided in room 304 .  Open-lab time is usually posted for each week on Monday mornings.  A typical week includes one or two social times per grade level and 2 or 3 sessions after school from 3:50 until 4:30.
On  most school days computers are available during social time in the IMC.  Students (limit 30 students per session) may also sign up for Homework Lab which is held on most, but not all, Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 3:40 to 4:50.

Rotation 2 ends on November 21st.  All make-up and late work needs to be turned in by Wednesday, November 19, 2008.
