In reading we were learning about the Earth.  After reading an article about the Earthsavers club, we read about life in a rainforest.  So, we decided to make our own rainforest.  In the process we learned about many new and exciting animals like the flying fox.  Matt T thought that one was really cool!

During our study about Objects in the sky we got to see so many cool things.  We watched how the sun appears to move across the sky.  Did you know...that if you are in front of the school walking towards the doors in the morning the sun will be on your left.  Then at about lunchtime the sun is right above the school doors.  At about 2:00 in the afternoon the sun is above Mr. Dwyer's office.  I wonder....where would the sun be at 6:00?

We also learned that the sun only appears to be the one moving when we, the Earth are actually spinning about.  Did you know it takes 24 hours for us to make one complete spin?
